JCHS Announces Homecoming Court


Jefferson City High School has named the Homecoming Court its 2022 “Wild West” themed Homecoming.

Tatianah Mahealani Brown is the daughter of Tianah Hess and Naziem Heywood. She has served as Cheering Captain, Jay Relations Chair, Special Events Chair, and has been involved in athletics and the choir. She also received a silver rating for her solo district competition. She plans to major in social services.

Emmarie Synae Graham is the daughter of Shalonda and Carlos Graham. She was captain of the tennis team and captain of the basketball team. She has also been involved in athletics, the National Honor Society, and student council. She was selected in all basketball districts, took second place in the Class 4 Women’s Triple Jump, and was named to the Jefferson City Holiday Classic Varsity All-Academic Team. She plans to study agribusiness at Oklahoma State University.

Lowegyn AA Hearn is the daughter of Tammeron Henderson and Brandon Hearn. She participated in football, track and field, and basketball. She received all-conference honors in athletics and sectional honors in basketball. She hesitates between Northern Arizona University, the University of Arizona and Southern Methodist University to study social sciences.

Cora Mae Wood is the daughter of Bill and Julie Wood. She has been involved in the symphony orchestra, tennis, and student council. She was also captain of the tennis team, president of assemblies, and president of the student body. She has won the Jeffersonian Award and academic recognition from all conferences for tennis. She hesitates between Truman State University or the University of Central Missouri and plans to major in wildlife biology.

Elicia Rae Theroff is the daughter of Angela Theroff and Touge Pruitt. She was involved in volleyball and athletics. She was award-winning in all track conferences and reached the last four in volleyball. She plans to study sports medicine and plans to play volleyball at Iowa Lakes Community College or compete in athletics at Bradley University.

Aarush Nikhil Deshpande is the son of Nikhil and Mansi Deshpande. He has participated in soccer, tennis, the NHS and the symphony orchestra. He was also manager of the basketball team and vice-president of the NHS. He received all-district and all-conference honors in tennis, and received a top rating and a gold rating from the state orchestra. He is considering the University of Missouri to study finance.

Cole William Heller is the son of Cherita and Michael Heller. He has participated in soccer, basketball, baseball, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and student council. He was also president of the NHS. He received the JC School District Outstanding Student Award, the Hawthorn Bank Award in his sophomore and junior years, and the Rotary Club Student of the Month Award. He plans to major in biological sciences in hopes of entering the medical field.

Joe Kenneth Kuster is the son of Ben and Regina Kuster. He has participated in soccer, wrestling, football and FCA. He was president of FCA. He also received the Jeffersonian Leadership Award and named Male Athlete of the Week.

Tripp Henry Maassen is the son of Julie and Jeff Maassen. He participated in basketball and baseball. He was also selected as a second team all-star in baseball conference. He plans to attend the University of Missouri.

Kendel Leslie Young is the son of Ann Young and Stehen Stanley. He participated in football, athletics and concert choirs. He also received the Junior Varsity Award and academic letters. He plans to attend the University of Missouri to play football.
