TAICHUNG, TAIWAN — Lezyne has promoted Terry Cooke, Global Director of Engineering, to Vice President of Production and Engineering. This promotion follows recent news of their restructured sales and marketing teams amid the company’s remarkable growth over the past few years.
Cooke is based in Taichung, Taiwan, where the company’s factories are located, and he has worked for the company for more than ten years. His new role was not only earned, but also motivated by a significant increase in staff as well as the addition of the new Lezyne machining plant. Cooke himself oversaw the planning and construction of the new facility.
With a diverse background in product development, production and engineering – notably the driving force behind Lezyne’s largest category: electronics – he will transition seamlessly into his new position using this broad experience.
His new responsibilities will include overseeing new projects such as expanding and streamlining Lezyne’s manufacturing capabilities, growing Lezyne’s engineering team and resources internationally, and overseeing production and quality control beyond R&D. He will also continue to play an important role in Lezyne’s rapidly growing OE business, which largely includes its extensive line of e-bike lights.
“Terry was my main man for many years,” explained Micki Kozuschek, Founder and President of Lezyne. “As an engineering-focused company, his knowledge of the brand, what makes it successful and how to keep it growing makes him the ideal candidate as VP of Production and engineering.”
