The Chief of Air Staff (CAF), Air Marshal Isiaka Amao said the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been successful despite the challenges it has faced in recent years. time.
According to him, the successes recorded by the force were largely based on human resources, technical and logistical support.
Amao spoke at the first international conference on Force Data Science and Engineering held at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna.
The two-day conference was themed “Embracing Digital Transformation”.
Represented by Air Training Command Chief of Staff, AVM Emmanuel Chukwu, Amao said data science and engineering were very imperative for the force.
He said, “The NAF will focus on valuable opportunities to develop its human resources in technical and logistical support for effective deployment of air power in the fight against crime in Nigeria.
“Pervasive computing in aerospace military intelligence is an integral part of Nigerian Air Force operations.
“The International Conference on Data Science and Engineering responds to the dynamic and complex nature of the security environment, which requires the application of computer-based gadgets for simple and efficient sensing, processing and transmission of security information. security.”
The NAF boss has since taking office last year taken bold steps to reposition the force for better performance.
