Samsung Biologics Attends BIO 2022 International Conference in USA

Samsung Biologics has announced that it will participate in the world’s largest biopharmaceutical expo, “2022 BIO International Convention”, from June 13-16 in San Diego, California, hosted by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization.

Samsung Biologics set up a large pavilion at the BIO International Convention held in San Diego, California from June 13-16.

BIO organizes the annual event in major American cities with bio-clusters, offering a place for exchanges in the biopharmaceutical industry.

The event will be held offline for the first time in three years, and Samsung Biologics has set up a large booth worthy of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical producer. Samsung Biologics has a production capacity of 620,000 liters, including its fourth plant (256,000 liters), scheduled for partial start-up this year, accounting for 30% of global contract manufacturing organization (CMO) production.

According to its press release, the theme of the booth is “Endless Possibilities”, expressing Samsung Biologics’ unlimited growth potential through expanding production capacity, portfolio and geographic bases.

Samsung Biologics showcases its end-to-end services from early stages of biopharmaceutical development to commercial production using lighting that detects and responds to visitor movement on the booth wall. The booth also offers virtual reality (VR) booths and factory tours and meeting rooms to effectively engage customers.

The company also installed a ‘Sustainability Wall’ in the stand to highlight its plans to minimize its impact on the environment despite strong growth, reaffirming its commitment to lead the industry of development and manufacturing organizations under long-term contract (CDMO).

Samsung Biologics plans to expand its contact with key figures in the biopharmaceutical industry through banners, company introduction videos and active exchanges during the expo.

On the first day, Samsung Biologics will hold various events at the booth, starting with a welcome reception. After that, more than 2,500 industry representatives will collect and exchange information.

On day two, Samsung Biologics Vice President Pierre Catignol will participate in the panel to discuss mRNA marketing trends and strategies.

On the final day, Samsung Biologics will be sponsoring, along with other major global pharmaceutical companies such as Genentech, the main dinner. More than 2,000 personalities from the biopharmaceutical industry are expected to discuss business partnerships in the industry.
