The music industry will descend on Reeperbahn 2022


The Reeperbahn Festival – Europe’s largest club festival and Europe’s largest platform for international pop culture and the music industry – returns to Hamburg from September 21 to 24.

Since 2006, for four days every September, the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the center of the international music world and an enduring interface between artists, audiences, industry representatives and society.

As the cream of emerging musical talent will finally be back on stage, the Reeperbahn Festival lecture program is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from all over the world.

On Thursday September 22 and Friday September 23, 2022, approximately 130 sessions divided into 12 themes will address the current challenges and issues of performing arts, recorded music, sync business, marketing, media and journalism, to name but a few. some.

Another focus will be on social and political issues, such as the effects of the war in Ukraine and the climate crisis. Among the 350 speakers are Canadian producer and musician Daniel Lanois (U2, Neil Young), Ukrainian rapper and 2019 ANCHOR winner Alyona Alyona, Gudrun Schweppe (head of Musik, YouTube Germany), political activist collective Pussy Riot, the Mando Diao frontman Björn Dixgård, as well as legendary German concert promoter Karsten Jahnke.
